Oscar Winners

Well done to all the Oscar winners. Here are my thoughts on the main winning films:

Million Dollar Baby: Looks dull.
Ray: Looks dull too.
The Aviator: Looks dull and overlong.
The Incredibles: Haven't seen it, but I think it's out on DVD soon.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: Looks dull but is actually fantastic.

Ok, so the only one I've actually seen is ESOTSM, but they could at least make the trailers for the first three look interesting.

Million Dollar baby is fantastic. Go see it

The Aviator is not good. Don't go and see it.

Of course, it was cut by over-zealous Malaysian censors when I saw it, but I doubt the missing bits could have redeemed it! Cate Blanchett speaking while retaining half an apple in her throat, and The Sprout only actually having 5 or 6 lines but saying them lots because of obsessive-compulsive disorder should not an Oscar winner make.

Million Dollar Baby isn't just fantastic. Its actually quite funny... for the first hour. After that, you, uh... might need a Kleenex or two.

Meanwhile, I'm with the badfriend. See the Incredibles! What are you doing?

I have every intention of seeing The Incredibles. I just haven't, yet.

Sunshine won an Oscar? Which one, exactly? Sunshine was my second favourite film of last year - I utterly loved it.

The Aviator's a good flick, too, though. Poor Scorsese.

Cheers

It won Best Original Screenplay, or something like that.
