I was listening to a Morrissey album this evening, and a song came on called Interlude. It's great - a duet between him and Siouxsie Sioux (off of And The Banshees). Since I've had the thing for a while I figure I must have heard the song before... but allowing for that I was sure I knew it from somewhere else. Investigation showed it to be a cover of a song from a sixties film, soundtrack composed by Georges Delerue, a French composer. Needless to say, I am not hugely familiar with his work.
So I'm not sure where I know where I know the song from. I'll probably never find out as now I know it from itself.
